
Chain O’Lakes District

The Waupaca Chain O’ Lakes District (WCOLD) proposes to treat approximately 8.5 acres of the Waupaca Chain O’Lakes for control of Hybrid Eurasian Watermilfoil (HWM).
Wisconsin Lake & Pond Resource, LLC will perform the treatment in May-early June 2023.
The proposed liquid herbicide Procella COR EC will be used in spot treatment areas in Dake and Long Lakes. Warning signs showing water restrictions will be posted within 150’ of affected areas at the time of treatment.
WCOLD will hold a public informational meeting on the proposed treatment if five (5) or more individuals, organizations, special units of government, or local units of government request in writing such a meeting. The persons or entities requesting such meeting shall state specific topics, including problems and alternatives to be discussed.
